About this Project

BUS Queensland approached HRC Security to overcome challenges with tracking buses, employees, and contractors moving throughout its depot network, while also addressing concerns around unauthorised public access, vandalism, and perimeter security. The organisation required a fully integrated solution combining access control, automated entry systems, and monitored perimeter protection to improve visibility, control, and site security across multiple locations.

HRC Security delivered a comprehensive Gallagher security solution across three sites, including Park Ridge and Redbank. The project incorporated advanced Gallagher access control, automated sliding gates, and a monitored perimeter security system featuring 2.4-metre Gallagher electric fencing integrated with 1.8-metre chainwire fencing. BUS Queensland selected the Gallagher Electric Fence Platform due to its proven effectiveness in protecting critical infrastructure for more than 30 years.

PROJECT SCOPE

Key works completed as part of the project included:

Demolition and removal of six existing sliding gates
Refurbishment and strengthening of gate foundations
Supply and installation of new automated sliding gates
Installation and commissioning of a complete Gallagher access control system
Replacement of all building door access readers
Integration of perimeter and access control systems to improve site security and operational efficiency

Outcome

The completed upgrade provides BUS Queensland with a secure, centrally managed security platform that improves access management, strengthens perimeter protection, and delivers greater visibility of personnel and vehicle movements. The result is a future-ready security solution that helps safeguard critical depot infrastructure while supporting efficient day-to-day operations
